Today, we learned.../Hoy aprendimos...
In PE, we played revenge tag. In Wellness, we watched Enemy Pie and talked about how the main character made a new friend. In Math, we did secret code math to practice "mayor que, menor que e igual a" (Greater than, Less than, Equal to). In Spanish, we continued practicing our fruit and vegetable vocabulary and read a book about how fruits are grown. In Social, we watched a story called "One Too Many" that tied into our discussion about Needs and Wants and how we can make a difference for people who are missing their basic needs. In ELAL, we shared our memory bags to the class (or individually with Srta. Tugle) and we watched a video about why Orange Shirt Day is important. We, then, got a colouring picture and wrote what we are grateful for that we don't have to give up to come to school and we coloured them.
Next week.../La próxima semana...
We will do a math check in to see how we're doing with place value. We will also start rounding. We will also continue with rocks and minerals and quality of life in Science and Social Studies.
